The Hola Bordetella Lyo PCR Kit enables highly sensitive detection and differentiation of Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella parapertussis using real-time PCR. The assay targets the IS481 and IS1001 multicopy insertion sequences, ensuring high sensitivity, while the ptxA gene encoding the pertussis toxin provides an additional specific marker for B. pertussis identification.

This three-target approach allows for accurate identification of whooping cough–causing pathogens, supporting faster diagnostics and outbreak control. The lyophilized format eliminates cold chain requirements, simplifies workflows, and ensures long-term stability — making it ideal for both centralized laboratories and decentralized or resource-limited settings.
